Handmade Plush Dolls,Featured Artist

Heather Louise a.k.a. The Doll Farm

I love making these crazy dolls! I get up in the morning and the first thing I do is thread a needle. What sets my dolls apart from most is that they are made entirely by hand. That means no sewing machine is involved in their construction what so ever. I have amassed a great collection of vintage wools and fabrics over the years and I ‘m always on the hunt for that special vintage wutzit to be the perfect accent to an undead Marie Antoinette or some other sci-fi freak character I conjure up. The fabrics, buttons and beads are often vintage and are found in thrift stores, markets or estate sales. Many of the snail shells I've found while digging in the soil. My dolls are usually stuffed with poly-fil but some have been stuffed with wool. Each doll is a one of a kind work of art and take FOR ever to make, and if I had any semblance of a social life I wouldnt be able to do a fraction of what I produce now. So know that a lot of love and attention that would otherwise go towards leaving the house on a regular basis goes into each and every hand made doll.
